Summer Festival Breaks Records

The 13th annual Summer Festival at CrabDance Zoo, held on July 22, 2023, was our biggest yet. Over 10,000 attendees enjoyed a day of live music, animal demos, and coastal cuisine, raising a record $150,000 for wildlife programs. Under a sky filled with teal balloons, the event showcased the zoo’s commitment to fun and philanthropy, with all proceeds funding sea turtle and tiger conservation.

Highlights included a keeper-led elephant bath, a silent auction with items like a safari trip, and a performance by local band The Tide Runners. “This festival brings our community together for a cause,” said Events Coordinator Sam Carter. Volunteers in teal shirts served crab cakes and lemonade, while kids enjoyed face painting and VR animal tours.
